Job description

We are seeking a Professional Engineer II with expertise in the study, funding, design, and construction of municipal projects for public entities. The role involves working on projects such as roadway, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water, and related infrastructure.

Essential Duties:

  • Serve as Lead Engineer and Engineer of Record on projects with moderate supervision support.
  • Prepare and oversee funding applications, engineering reports, calculations, construction plans, specifications, bid documents, and administer construction contracts.
  • Communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with clients, government entities, and contractors to ensure project success.
  • Participate in or lead project presentations, meetings, and conferences as needed.
  • Mentor personnel assigned to projects where you are the lead engineer.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
  • Follow Moore Engineering's Quality Management Plan.
  • Travel as required for meetings, client interactions, or site visits.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and be insurable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Registered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain registration within six months.
  • Minimum of eight years of civil engineering experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Civil3D software for design.
  • Knowledge of financing programs is advantageous.
  • Valid driver's license and insurability required.

Compensation:

# Colorado residents:

The salary range is $88,320 - $121,440, determined by location, education, experience, credentials, and skills. Incentive programs may be available.

# Minnesota residents:

The salary range is $73,600 - $114,356, with compensation based on similar factors. Incentive programs may be available.
