Job summary

Behavioral Health Network (BHN) invites applications for a Professional Developmental Trainer to support the Center for Education & Professional Excellence. This full-time role focuses on new employee orientation, mandated training, and ongoing professional development using in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, strong facilitation and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft tools and LMS systems.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED preferred through American Red Cross.
  • Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage learners from varied backgrounds and disciplines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computers, Microsoft applications, and LMS tools used to deliver training and testing.
  • Technical aptitude to assist LMS users and troubleshoot Microsoft applications.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage training records, schedules, and equipment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, travel to BHN locations, and lift up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Support New Employee Orientation (NEO) by facilitating topics and helping new employees complete training in the LMS.
  • Deliver mandated and ongoing professional development for staff and community partners, including certification and remediation training.
  • Facilitate in-person, virtual, and hybrid training sessions using approved curricula and learning materials.
  • Adapt training delivery to meet diverse audiences with varying learning styles, roles, and experience levels.
  • Maintain current knowledge of content, policies, regulatory requirements, adult learning practices, and workforce development best practices.
  • Create a supportive, professional learning environment that promotes confidence and outcomes.
  • Assess participant performance and provide constructive feedback to support certification and skill development.
  • Complete course documentation, certification cards, rosters, and reporting on time.
  • Ensure training equipment is maintained and compliant with safety requirements.
  • Serve as a training resource to staff and leadership, including LMS navigation and Microsoft applications support.
  • Collaborate with Center team on training initiatives and travel to BHN training sites as required.

What You Will Do
  • Support New Employee Orientation (NEO) by facilitating assigned topics and helping new employees complete ongoing training in the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Deliver mandated and ongoing professional development for staff and community partners, including certification, recertification, and remediation training as needed.
  • Facilitate engaging in-person, virtual, and hybrid training sessions using approved curricula, learning materials, and instructional strategies.
  • Adapt training delivery to meet the needs of diverse audiences with varying learning styles, roles, and levels of experience.
  • Maintain current knowledge of assigned content, organizational policies, regulatory requirements, adult learning practices, and workforce development best practices.
  • Create a supportive, professional learning environment that promotes participant confidence, competence, and successful outcomes.
  • Assess participant performance and provide clear, constructive feedback to support successful certification and skill development.
  • Complete course documentation, certification cards, rosters, and related reporting accurately and on time.
  • Ensure training equipment is properly maintained and functional while promoting compliance with organizational and health and safety requirements.
  • Serve as a training resource to staff and leadership, including helping users navigate the LMS and troubleshoot relevant Microsoft applications.
  • Collaborate with The Center team on training initiatives, participate in ongoing professional development, and travel to designated BHN training sites as required.
Who You Are
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • CPR, First Aid, AED (preferred through American Red Cross) Willing to train if not certified
  • Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage learners from varied backgrounds and disciplines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to create a supportive learning environment and respond professionally to differing perspectives or conflict within groups.
  • Ability to assess participant performance and provide clear, supportive, and actionable feedback.
  • Proficiency with computers, Microsoft applications, and relevant technologies used to deliver training and administer curriculum and testing.
  • Technical aptitude to assist LMS users and troubleshoot common issues involving Microsoft applications.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage training records, schedules, course documentation, and equipment.
  • Effective time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills, including the ability to respond to urgent needs.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning, flexibility with change, and the ability to incorporate feedback into practice.
  • Demonstrated cultural awareness and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed, travel to BHN locations, and lift or carry training materials weighing up to 20 pounds.

Full Time: Monday: Friday 8am - 4pm

Part-Time: Tuesday-Thursday hours TBD in interview

Salary Range

$45,670-$54,912

Hourly Rate (Part-Time)
