Job summary

Tallahassee State College is hiring a Professional Development Coordinator to support Leadership Institute operations and talent development initiatives. This grant-funded role reports to the Professional Development Manager and will help manage daily activities, student and staff training, and LMS-related tasks.

The candidate will assist with data collection, reporting, and research to strengthen offerings and improve outcomes.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent and six years of technical experience in: training, planning, scheduling, customer service, LMS systems or a combination of education and experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred and may substitute for four years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Leadership Institute activities, screen applicants, schedule cohorts, and provide coaching and technical assistance.
  • Support LMS administration, training delivery, and data reporting for the Leadership Institute.
  • Assist in ongoing data collection, assessments, and reporting for program evaluation.
  • Plan and coordinate leadership training and conferences as part of professional development initiatives.

Professional Development Coordinator

What You’ll Do

The Professional Development Coordinator is a grant funded position. The Coordinator is housed within the Department of Juvenile Justice/Office of Talent, Leadership & Culture and will report to the Professional Development Manager. This position will assist in daily operations of the Leadership Institute and in support of Talent, Leadership, & Culture.

Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for:

Leadership Institute:

process and screen applicants, schedule coordination, primary coordinator of cohorts start to finish, technical assistance, and coaching.

Training Facilitation:

adjunct facilitator in support of delivery of Leadership Institute and Professional Development trainings.

LMS (External Primary/Internal Secondary)

marketing, participant registration & management, customer service support, report generation specific to Leadership Institute, utilization, creation of customized playlists for recurring use.

Data & Reporting:
  • Assist in creation of ongoing reports and metrics for data analysis.

  • Assist in conducting ongoing assessments that support continuous improvement from all stakeholders utilizing a variety of mechanisms: end of course evaluations, Survey Monkey, and face to face.

  • Assist in building assessments to meet Kirkpatrick Levels. Look at effectiveness, trends, make recommendations and help plan strategies for improvement.

Research:

Ongoing assistance in research for:

  • Curriculum to strengthen leadership institute menu of offerings.

  • Resources for leadership institute participants (i.e. articles, books, events, activities, podcasts, videos).

  • In support of succession planning.

Training and Conference Planning:

Assist in planning of leadership training and conferences.
