Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Bureau of Enforcement and Investigation seeks a Professional Conduct Investigator 1 in Scranton to examine complaints and support statewide enforcement efforts. You will perform investigations, reviews, and evidence gathering while coordinating with multiple agencies.

The role offers full-time work with a standard M-F schedule, potential telework, and opportunities to develop investigative skills in a public-service environment.

Qualifications

• Two years as a Regulatory Enforcement Inspector (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title).
• Five years of investigative experience; or
• One year of investigative experience and a bachelor's degree; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that included one year of investigative experience.

Responsibilities

• Investigate allegations involving violations of laws, rules, and regulations.
• Inspect sites to determine compliance and document findings in clear reports.
• Collect information through interviews, observations, and detailed fact gathering.
• Interpret and apply laws and standards to each investigation.
• Write complete and accurate reports explaining investigative findings.
• Appear as a witness during hearings and provide testimony on case findings.
