Professional Coding Audit & Education Research Coordinator - Full-time - Remote

The Coding Audit and Education Research Coordinator is responsible for conducting research on the appropriate coding of services across all specialties. This includes evaluating new service lines, reviewing updates to procedure or diagnosis codes, and ensuring current coding practices are accurate. The role supports the Professional coding team in providing precise coding guidance to all providers.

Minimum Job Requirements
  • Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: Coding certification (CPC, CCS, CCS-P, or RHIT).
  • Education: High School diploma, GED, or HSED. (Experience can substitute for education.)
  • Experience: At least 4 years in a multi-specialty physician practice, coding various medical/surgical specialties/subspecialties. (Education can substitute for experience.)
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Demonstrates behaviors aligned with Children’s values, supporting our mission and vision.
  • Advanced knowledge of ICD10, CPT, HCPCS coding guidelines, payer and governmental policies.
  • Familiarity with CCI edits, healthcare insurance guidelines, and regulatory guidance.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records.
  • Strong research skills using various resources.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and solve problems effectively.

This is a fully remote, full-time position with no travel required to our Main Campus.
