Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Professional Civil Engineer (PE) with 5+ years of post-education experience to design and entitlement for large-scale land development projects across the United States. The role centers on site design, due diligence support, and entitlement activities using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

The ideal candidate will lead technical assessments, draft development agreements with local agencies, and prepare comprehensive reports while coordinating with municipalities and consultants.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of post-education experience in design and entitlement of large-scale land development projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D for drawings, maps, and models.
• Ability to manage multiple civil/environmental projects and coordinate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on site design and development including layout, grading, road design, stormwater management, and utility planning
• Review technical studies and provide summaries to senior stakeholders
• Support drafting of development agreements with local agencies
• Create and update engineering drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Perform engineering calculations, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates
• Prepare technical reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations
• Coordinate with municipalities, landowners, and external consultants
• Experience managing multiple civil and environmental projects simultaneously
• Experience with sustainable or low-impact/green design practices
• Advanced experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D (5+ years preferred)
• Experience with Civil 3D pipe networks and add-on tools (e.g., AutoTURN)
• Experience developing cost estimates or opinions of probable costs
• Experience using Civil 3D grading optimization tools
• Strong knowledge of site development, grading, drainage, and utilities design
• Understanding of data center development and operational engineering requirements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
