The Scruggs Company is seeking an experienced Asphalt Paving Operator to join our Operations team. You will operate and maintain paving equipment to ensure smooth, correctly aligned laydown of asphalt while adhering to safety standards and company policies.

You will work with the paving crew to deliver high-quality results, plan setups, and communicate effectively with foremen to meet project schedules and quality expectations.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of asphalt paving operations and equipment setup.
• Ability to read grade specifications and adjust equipment accordingly.
• Basic mechanical skills for minor adjustments and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain asphalt paving equipment to ensure smooth laydown.
• Set up the paver for operation and adjust the screed as needed.
• Monitor fluid levels, gauges, and equipment operation throughout the day.
• Work with the crew to deliver high-quality results and maintain safety.
