Job summary

Small Hands Change the World in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Lead Teacher to join our mission-driven team. You will plan and implement engaging lessons, create a safe and inclusive classroom, and monitor student development while communicating with parents.

You will supervise assistants and maintain records to meet educational standards. The role emphasizes a nurturing, patient approach and requires a degree in Early Childhood Education, plus CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

  • Requires Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Prior experience in a lead teacher or classroom leadership role preferred.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to pass a background check as required by state licensing.
  • Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for working with children.
