Mid-level Cardio Coder for our client's profee coding team. This role will focus primarily on the accurate and efficient coding of Cardio services and thorough review of patient documentation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of ICD-10 coding principles, particularly as they relate to CPT and HCPCS codes, and adhere to NCCI guidelines. This is a fully remote position, requiring work hours aligned with the Mountain Standard Time zone.

Key Responsibilities:

• Code Profee cardiology services (cardiovascular, cardiothoracic procedures)
• Accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
• Follow NCCI and Medicare guidelines
• Use Epic and EncoderPro (Optum)
• Meet productivity benchmarks (20–25 encounters/hr)
• Collaborate with coding and clinical teams to ensure documentation accuracy

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of professional coding experience.
• Ability to pass assessments with 90% + accuracy.
• Strong proficiency in ICD-10 coding principles.
• Demonstrated experience coding cardio services
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to interpret and analyze complex medical documentation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
• Must be able to work Mountain Standard Time (MST) hours in a HIPAA compliant environment.
• Must be a self-starter, agile, and willing to work hard and ramp up.
• Experience utilizing EPIC EHR and EncoderPro (Optum).
