Job summary

Graham Packaging Company in the United States is seeking a Business Unit Productivity Manager to drive operational efficiency across manufacturing, distribution, and admin functions. You will use Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and automation to reduce waste, increase throughput, and maintain safety, quality, and customer service.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will lead cross-functional projects, develop business cases, and present results monthly.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, process improvement, or industrial engineering.
• Travel of 60-75% is expected.
• Direct experience in extrusion blow molding is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze workflows, labor utilization, equipment performance, and production processes.
• Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost reduction.
• Lead Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and implement standardized work procedures.
• Measure and monitor KPIs (OEE, throughput, cycle time, labor productivity).
• Develop reporting tools and dashboards to track performance trends.
• Conduct time studies and value stream mapping.
• Optimize staffing models and resource allocation.
• Support 5S and visual management programs.
• Evaluate automation opportunities and collaborate with IT/Engineering.
• Lead cross-functional productivity improvement projects and ROI analyses.
• Present recommendations and results to leadership monthly.
