Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Productivity Engineer I to develop and implement engineered labor standards and best-method practices in a high-volume distribution setting. You will partner with Operations to standardize methods, maintain SQL-based recording systems, and run queries for engineering analysis.

The role requires strong analytical skills, time-study experience, and the ability to work across shifts with bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SQL or MS Access databases.
• Strong mathematical and analytical capabilities.
• Time study, work measurement, and warehouse floor data collection experience preferred.
• Operations knowledge of distribution and related processes preferred.
• Ability to communicate with non-exempt associates and management; bilingual preferred.
• Willingness to work varying shifts (1st-3rd) as needed.
• Process-flow thinking and attention to detail in documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements best methods, standard conditions, and engineered labor standards.
• Identify and evaluate improvements to methods and workflow to boost productivity.
• Coordinate implementation of engineered methods and reporting systems.
• Maintain production reporting apps and interfaces with timekeeping and labor systems.
• Execute queries and reports for engineering data; support data collection tools.
• Collect and summarize time study data to support labor standards.
• Support forecasting, staffing modeling, and incentive reporting for projects.
• Advise management on labor analysis and economic justification.
