Airgas is Hiring for a Production Technician - Dayton, OH

We are looking for you!

  • Pay : $30 per hour

  • Bonus : 4% Annual

  • Travel : 0 - 10% for training

  • Work Schedule : 12 hour rotating schedule, AMG on call as required

Job Duties

The Production Technician has the responsibility for the operation and control of equipment used in air separation, vacuum swing absorption and carbon dioxide plants. They are also accountable for the care and maintenance of plant mechanical, instrumentation and electrical devices and equipment. The position will provide support to various types of processing plants in order to support startups, training and leave coverage for normal production technicians.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma

  • 2 – 3 years of industrial plant / cryogenic plant experience preferred.

  • Understanding of control valve functions and systems used to control flows & pressures on industrial tanks

  • Experience troubleshooting equipment in a plant environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Air Separation Plant or related industrial experience is a plus.

  • Water Treatment – understanding the water treatment principles and equipment is a plus.

  • Refrigeration - A basic understanding of refrigeration systems is a plus

  • Air Separation - A basic understanding of air separation and associated technologies is a plus.

  • Electrical/ Instrumentation background is a plus.
