Job summary

Mohawk Industries, a Fortune 500 global flooring leader, is seeking a production worker for the padding line. You will keep the area clean, monitor quality, and wrap finished padding to ensure proper packaging for distribution.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and tolerance for a noisy, non-climate controlled production floor. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred, and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Basic math and arithmetic
• Ability to communicate in English and follow written/verbal instructions
• Maintain acceptable attendance per company guidelines
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds repeatedly
• Ability to bend, crouch, and stoop throughout the shift
• Work in a non-climate controlled facility
• Work in a noisy, high-traffic production area

Responsibilities

• Keep area clean at all times
• Quality minded
• Wrap finished padding rolls in plastic
• Two wrappers per Card Line; move 20,000 lbs of padding per shift
• Monitor the quality of product coming off the machine
• Weigh padding and report to Roll-up Operator
• Break down machine during jams or issues
• Work with Maintenance on breakdowns and troubleshooting
• Assist with line cleanup
• Report safety, quality, or production deficiencies to the Card Line Operator
• Move full buggies using a lift truck
