Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. is seeking a manufacturing line worker in Dalton, GA to support pillow/padding production. You will keep the work area clean, monitor quality, and assist with wrapping finished padding and moving rolls on the Card Line.

Responsibilities include weighing padding, reporting results, and helping with machine downtime and line cleanup. Ability to lift 100 lbs and work in a non-climate controlled, noisy floor is required.

Qualifications

• Basic math to perform calculations and keep records.
• Clear spoken and written English to follow instructions and report results.
• Attendance in line with company guidelines.
• Manufacturing experience preferred for feasibility of tasks.
• Ability to multi-task across line duties and priorities.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds consistently during an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to bend, crouch, and stand for long periods in a noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Keep area clean at all times.
• Maintain quality-minded focus.
• Wrap finished rolls of padding in plastic.
• Operate on two wrappers per Card Line; assist with moving and handling rolls.
• Monitor product quality from the machine output.
• Weigh padding and communicate results to the Roll-up Operator.
• Troubleshoot jams, broken chains, and other machine issues with maintenance.
• Assist with line cleanup and report safety, quality, or production deficiencies.
• Move full buggies with a lift truck and manage roll handling.
