Job summary

• Heat seal or pack finished material bags and palletize shipments.
• Operate RF scanning equipment for warehouse movements.

Position:Production Worker, weekend shift Location: Columbus, OH Job Id:1130 # of Openings:5 PRODUCTION WORKER Allied Mineral Products is a lea ding manufacturer of monolithic refractories worldwide, headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. We are looking for energetic, motivated and results-driven individuals to join our Production Team. Shift: Fri - Sun 6am - 6:30pm Pay$20.50 per hour Plus 15% shift premium PLUS $750 sign on bonus. Duties and Responsibilities

• Stack and dump 55 pounds or lesser units of raw materials into the mixer.
• Discharge mixed material into bags of various weights.
• Pack and/or place taphole clay or plastic products into pails or boxes.
• Heat seal or valve pack finished material bags.
• Palletize bags of various weights and sizes.
• Shrink or stretch wrap completed pallets in preparation for shipping.
• Add water and/or liquids to wet mixer.
• Occasionally operate forklift safely and efficiently as required after successfully passing required forklift test.
• Clean mixer, equipment, and general work area.
• Weigh bonds.
• Perform labeling, and housekeeping.
• Operate and complete warehouse movements using RF Scanning equipment.
• Follow company rules and regulations.
• Strive to reduce accidents, personal injuries, and potential hazards. Work safely.
• Report all accidents immediately to supervision.
• Report to supervisor of conditions that are believed to be unsafe or potentially hazardous.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Strong work ethic
• Dependable and able to follow instructions
• Good math skills
• Ability to routinely lift 50+ lbs.
• Must be able to read, speak and write English
• Outstanding Attendance
• Production or Forklift experience a plus
• Must be at least 18 years old
