Job summary

Eggleston's Business Fulfillment Center is seeking a Production Worker for Tidewater Drive to perform manual labor tasks in a nonprofit setting focused on education, training, and employment opportunities. The role requires working under direct supervision with duties including folding, sorting, weighing materials, and packaging.

Availability is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Capable of following instructions and meeting standards for the quality and timeliness of job duties.
• Ability to learn and follow equipment safety requirements, including the use of personal protective devices
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors and coworkers, and provide basic customer service

Responsibilities

• Hand fold, sort, and stuff paper or other products.
• Weigh and count materials.
• Assemble boxes or bags using string, glue, or tape.
• Support the Cox Accessory Recovery Program by cleaning, refurbishing, and/or repairing remotes and sorting and rewrapping cables
• Work as a team with others to ensure efficient production work
• Follow safety regulations and promptly report accidents, critical incidents, or injuries
• Attend in-service training, meetings, and/or workshops as required
• Other duties as assigned

Production Worker - Tidewater Drive Business Fulfillment - Enjoy a rewarding and challenging position with a nonprofit organization helping educate, train, and provide employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities since 1955. We are currently seeking applicants for a full-time Production Worker to work under direct supervision and complete a variety of manual labor tasks related to the daily operation of Eggleston's Business Fulfillment Center.

Applicants must have availability Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Hand fold, sort, and stuff paper or other products
• Weigh and count materials
• Assemble boxes or bags using string, glue, or tape

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Physical demands: Performing the duties of this job requires near visual acuity, the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds, and gross manipulation. Additionally, the employee:

• Must be free of tuberculosis in a communicable form
• Must be able to lift/move15-58pounds
• Must be able to maintain all personal care needs, including medication management, during work hours

Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be primarily in a warehouse setting with exposure to dust and other potential allergens. Must be able to withstand extreme fluctuations of temperature and noise levels.

Proof of an acceptable driving record must accompany the application to be considered.
