Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The Production Worker- Operator works directly in the manufacturing area, ensuring quality standards are met. Responsibilities include painting, removing stones from molds, packing accurately, and supporting overall production activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Comply with Safety Policies and Procedures.
2. Apply color to molds with spray or brush according to quality standards.
3. Apply acid spray to molds.
4. Pull stones from molds and pack them in boxes, ensuring correct quantity.
5. Review quality standards of stones (air bubbles, color, deformations).
6. Scrape excess cement from molds and ensure proper cement application in corner molds.
7. Ensure packaging, including labels, staples, and box assembly, meet standards.
8. Clean molds to prevent overpouring.
9. Maintain a clean and organized work area for safety.
10. Respect scheduled breaks and lunches.
11. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
12. Train and perform duties across production lines as needed.
13. Maintain regular attendance, punctuality, and flexibility.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

1. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
2. Strong safety and attendance record.
3. Knowledge of mold textures and stone colors.
4. Understanding of OSHA safety standards.
5. Forklift certification is preferred.
6. Basic reading, writing, and numerical skills.
7. Ability to communicate issues or changes effectively.
8. Flexibility to work various shifts, overtime, and weekends.
9. Ability to follow directions and work independently.
10. Teamwork skills.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

No minimum education or prior experience required.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

1. Prolonged standing or stationary position.
2. Repetitive movements.
3. Exposure to noise levels.
4. Use of personal protective equipment.
5. Lift/move items up to 50 pounds.
6. Ability to move around the facility.
7. Ascend/descend stairs or ladders.
8. Work around dust, chemicals, and in various environmental conditions.
