Job summary

LB Foster is seeking a Production Worker to perform a variety of tasks in a manufacturing setting. You will follow standard work methods and safety practices to ensure efficient production and safe operations.

You will be trained to work in all production areas, read work instructions, and operate basic machine tools. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement with opportunities for growth within Operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of work experience in a production environment.
• Ability to follow verbal or written instructions.
• Average proficiency in mathematics.
• Ability to prioritize and use time efficiently.
• Ability to focus on problem solving and teamwork.
• Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Good visual acuity.
• Ability to use various hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Responsible for performing a variety of tasks involved in the production of L.B. Foster products while following standard work methods and practicing safe work habits to ensure production is efficient and safe. Production Workers are trained to work in all areas of production.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safe work practices and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Carryout verbal and written instructions from Foreman.
• Complete jobs in a timely fashion to ensure on time shipment.
• Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists.
• Trained to complete pre-operation equipment inspections and report any issues identified.
• Trained to set up, adjust, and operate all basic machine tools.
• Read and interpret work instructions, then execute work per instructions.
• Work with quality and production teams to identify areas for process improvement.
• All other duties as assigned.
