Job summary

Watteredge LLC is seeking a dependable Production Worker – Grinder for our second-shift manufacturing team in Avon Lake, OH. This hands-on role involves grinding and finishing metal components while upholding quality, safety, and productivity standards.

You will read and follow work instructions, operate hand grinders, inspect parts, and report defects. The position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to stand for long periods while lifting materials as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 1+ years of manufacturing, grinding, or metalworking experience preferred.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to perform repetitive, hands-on work in a manufacturing environment.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and move materials as required.

Responsibilities

• Grind, deburr, and finish metal components according to specifications.
• Operate hand grinders and other finishing equipment safely.
• Read and follow work instructions, job travelers, and basic drawings.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and proper finish.
• Use basic measuring and inspection tools as required.
• Identify and report defects or quality concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Assist with other production duties as needed.
