Job summary

Texwipe is seeking a Production Worker to visually inspect wipers, operate bag-sealing equipment, and ensure quality in finished goods. Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
  • Basic computer skills to locate documents as needed.
  • Basic English comprehension with reading/writing ability.
  • Must be detail-oriented, accurate and dependable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good math skills and ability to read a ruler.
  • Comfortable in a manufacturing environment and wearing PPE.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to visually detect contamination/defects.

Responsibilities

  • Visually inspect edges of wipers for seal quality per SOPs.
  • Inspect, identify, and report defects/contamination.
  • Inspect finished goods for shipment.
  • Weigh, document and discard equipment scrap.
  • Prepare and package finished goods for shipment.
  • Notify machine operators to adjust machines to reduce defects.
  • Follow all quality guidelines in job functions.
  • Maintain equipment in a clean state.
  • Maintain organized paperwork and records.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Train new associates on all aspects of job function.
  • Work in other areas to improve flexibility of assignments.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

  • Inspecting, identifying, and reporting defects and/or contamination in the product

  • Preparing and packaging finished goods for shipment.
  • Notifying machine operators to make adjustments to machines to correct variables producing defects or the quality product.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required or a combination of experience and education
  • Manufacturing experience and/or training is preferred, but not required.
  • Basic computer skills with ability to find, read, and locate documents as needed.
  • Basic English comprehension skills with the ability to speak, read, and write in the language with minimal difficulty.
  • Must be detail-orientated, highly accurate, and dependable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work effectively and communicate positively with managers and employees within the organization.
  • Basic math skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to read and use a ruler.
  • Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to don appropriate gowning materials and wear PPE as defined by plant safety procedures.
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, reach, and kneel, as well as lift, move, and/or transport up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to visually see contamination and/or defects with or without the use of corrective lenses.

Compensation Information

$17.20, plus $1 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift
