The role reports to the manufacturing supervisor and involves operating basic machines, deburring, or light assembly in an industrial setting. Supervision is close, with limited decision-making and external contact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform moderate physical activities, including walking, standing, bending, and lifting; work in areas with safety precautions; pass vision tests if required.
  • Maintain measuring instruments and test equipment; inspect/test parts as per instructions.
  • Communicate project status and update logs; ensure proper documentation.
  • Follow safety rules, wear protective gear.
  • Measure and inspect product dimensions using appropriate tools.
  • Perform specific tasks based on area (e.g., Deburring, Light Assembly), including cleaning, deburring, assembly, and inspection.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
  • Interpret blueprints and obtain certifications as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and verify equipment calibration.
  • Promote teamwork.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with basic hand tools
  • Adherence to safety protocols
  • Good communication skills, ability to follow instructions
  • Basic computer skills
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn
  • Ability to work collaboratively and perform basic arithmetic
  • Understanding of quality importance and impact
