Aldon Food Corporation in Schwenksville, PA is hiring a Food Production Worker-Salad Maker for our cold environment plant. Start time is 4am, Monday to Friday, in a full-time role.

Responsibilities include following recipes and SOPs, measuring ingredients, checking temperatures, labeling, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. Must lift 50 lbs, read/write English, and pass background and drug tests. Excellent benefits and a $250 sign-on bonus after 6 months available.

Qualifications

• Able to weigh and read a scale, and perform basic math calculations.
• Able to follow SOPs and recipes precisely.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsabilités

• Follow approved salad recipes, ensuring correct proportions and ingredients.
• Monitor in-process product for irregularities and report to management.
• Label and date all ingredients and vessels; maintain product ID.
• Record temperatures and ensure product safety and proper storage.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Don's Prepared Foods is the leading manufacturer on the East Coast of prepared gourmet deli salads, gourmet cream cheese spreads, dips, entrée’s and more.

Don's is a family-owned business and manufactures over 130 products spanning across its three brands Don's Salads, Melanie's Medleys and Artisan Deli.

We are currently hiring for a Food Production Worker-Salad Maker at our Schwenksville, PA food manufacturing plant..

Start time is 4am Monday-Friday.

Job responsibility Production Salad Maker:

Salad Makers must adhere to approved recipes in the formulation of finished products.

Must constantly scrutinize “in process” product that they are formulating for any irregularities. Notification of irregularities to management must be immediate.

Each Salad Maker must utilize the manufacturing instructions on recipe to ensure that all ingredients are added in the proper proportions and in correct order..

Highlight any variations on the recipe & let Raw Material Warehouse Coordinator know of variations.

Salad Makers measure the temperature of the finished salad / cream cheese (USDA CCP 1) before dipping and note that temperature in the appropriate location. Alert management of any product or ingredient above 40 degrees F.

Must ensure that all vessels containing ingredients are completely covered and properly labeled with product ID and date.

Must ensure their own safe and clean work environment.

Ability to read, write, comprehend, in English and follow recipes and understand proportions.

Must have cooking knowledge and terminology.

Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOP).

Ability to follow recipes and understand portions.

Ability to weigh and read a scale accurately. Ability to perform and understand basic math calculations

Requirements

• Must be able to work in a cold environment (34-36 degrees)
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, push/pull and mix product.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English.
