Position: Production Worker

Location: Newport, TN

Rate: starting at $20.36/hr

Shift: Swing (1st and 2nd shift) and 3rd shift

**MUST BE WILLING TO WORK OVERTIME IF NEEDED**

Reporting to the Supervisor, as a Production Worker for our swing (1st and 2nd shift) and 3rd shift, you will be responsible for collaborating and contributing to the production environment within our manufacturing operations. Safety, quality, productivity, and a strong work ethic are important to the Sonoco culture.

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Collaborating closely with departments and plant teams to complete basic manufacturing tasks.
2. Packing products into boxes, retrieving products from equipment, and operating machinery.
3. Making incremental process adjustments, monitoring, and reporting the quality of manufactured products.
4. Applying critical thinking and troubleshooting skills to set up new production jobs.
5. Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.
6. *Assisting other departments as needed.

This position is located at our tubes and cores manufacturing facility in Newport, TN.
