Job summary

Magna International in Kentucky is seeking a manufacturing associate to support quality and assembly operations on the B and C shifts. You will perform basic assembly, operate spot weld machines, conduct safety inspections, run SPC checks, and ensure conformance to TS16949 and ISO14001 systems, with a focus on efficient, safe production.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years manufacturing experience, basic math and machine operation skills, and the ability to use a calculator.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic machine operation skills.
• Prior assembly experience helpful but not required.
• Ability to use a calculator.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for quality and conformance of product to customer specifications per control plans utilizing TS16949 & ISO14001 documented systems; authority to stop non-conforming processes and report same to supervisor, Quality Assurance and/or Engineering department representative
• Perform basic assembly of components and sub-assemblies
• Operate resistance spot weld machines to assemble products
• Perform basic safety inspections on equipment and record data
• Complete SPC (Statistical Process Control) checks and charts as required
• Weld destruct testing & recording of data as required
• Basic machine maintenance/weld tip changes
• 100% visual inspection & packaging of product
• Operate machines at optimum efficiency to achieve acceptable rates
• Tagging and labeling containers per the work instructions
• Housekeeping and other activities as assigned
• Assist with Inventory

• Training on proper machine settings (as needed), tagging, labeling, inspection, destruct, and packaging procedures specific to the assigned work cell

• 1-2 years manufacturing experience preferred
• Basic machine operation skills
• Prior assembly experience helpful but not required
• Ability to use a calculator

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ability to move throughout the plant
• Extended sitting and standing; reaching and bending
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. may be required
• Loud work environment; compliance with personal protective equipment as required
