Job summary

Trulite is hiring a Production Associate in Birmingham, AL. The role involves moving glass, transporting materials, labeling, and performing various production tasks on a rotating basis.

Candidates should be reliable, capable of reading paperwork and measuring with a tape, and comfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Pay starts at $15–$18 per hour with day shift hours (Mon–Fri, 7am–4pm) and OT as needed; benefits begin on day one and a comprehensive benefits package is offered,

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• One year of warehouse or production experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret paperwork and labels.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure.
• Willing to work in all areas of production.
• Flexible Monday–Friday with occasional weekends.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Move glass from tables, furnaces, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for eight or more hours daily.
• Transport materials between locations to expedite production.
• Read and attach labels and tags to product.
• Quality inspection, operate equipment, and/or manually maneuver equipment.
• Understand facility layout to ensure proper product flow.
• Perform different job functions on a rotating basis.
• Inspect product for abnormalities and report issues to supervisor.
• Use a tape measure to ensure product meets specifications.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance and safety compliance.

Who You Are:

What You Will Be Doing:

• Move glass from, tables, furnace, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for eight or more hours, daily
• Transport of materials including glass from one position/location to another to expedite the production process
• Read and attach appropriate labels and tags to product
• Quality inspection, operating equipment, and/or manually maneuvering equipment
• Understand layout of the facility to ensure proper product flow
• Perform different job functions on a rotating basis
• Inspect product for any abnormalities and notifying supervisor immediately of any issues (fabrication issues, logo placement, etc.)
• Utilize a tape measure to ensure product is within the product specifications
• Maintain a safe and clean work area
• Regular and predictable attendance, the ability to safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job

Skills You Bring:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• One year of previous work experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or production facility, highly preferred
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate paperwork and labels
• Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and effectively use a tape measure
• All production workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of production
• Flexible work availability (typically Monday through Friday with occasional weekends)
• High School Diploma or GED, preferred
• Forklift experience a plus
• Overhead crane experience a plus
