Job summary

Afinitas in Sleepy Eye, MN is hiring for a hands-on manufacturing position. You will operate forklift and welding equipment, set up tools and materials, and maintain a safe production area on a day-one benefits plan.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Prior forklift exposure and MIG/TIG welding knowledge are desired. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience preferred.
• Beginning level MIG/TIG welding experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate light, medium and heavy equipment including forklift.

• Attend to daily production needs with reliable attendance.
• Complete special projects as assigned and support continuous improvement.

Job Description

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Operation of light, medium and heavy equipment including forklift.
• Operation of various hand-operated tools related to steel fabrication.
• Must be able to use welding equipment or the ability to learn welding procedures.
• Sets up equipment including jigs and the loading of the raw material that are needed in the manufacturing process.
• Cleans and maintains workstation to be used daily in the production process.
• Regular, timely attendance to meet organizational needs in an efficient and effective manner.
• Performs special projects or assignments as directed.
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior forklift and operator experience a plus.
• Beginning level experience in MIG, TIG, and flex core welding
• Team oriented.
• Communication skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment
• Ability to obtain and operate mobile equipment needed to perform essential functions

Compensation

The approximate pay range for this position is $19-21/hour. Please note that the pay range is a good faith estimate at the time of posting and may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, and geographic location.
