Job summary

Lokar Inc. is seeking a skilled welder to perform TIG welding on production assemblies, following work orders and production schedules.

You will work with the Production Manager and Inventory/Purchasing to meet daily needs, develop fixtures for existing and new products, and complete tasks with attention to quality and safety.

This full-time, climate-controlled position offers benefits such as health, dental, vision, and paid time off, with standard Monday–Friday shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma/GED required.
• 1+ years TIG welding experience.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 30 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Weld assemblies according to directions and use fixtures.
• Assist in the development and creation of new fixtures for products old and new.
• Complete tasks per work orders and production schedules.
• Report quality, process, equipment, or material issues to the Production Manager.
• Maintain inventory and production documentation.
• Work safely and adhere to company policies.
• Stage welded product neatly and orderly.
• Cross training and knowledge sharing of existing tasks.
• Other duties as needed.

Description

Perform welding production activities as work orders and production schedules dictate. Work together with Production Manager and Inventory/Purchasing to meet production needs on a daily basis.

Scope of Position may include:

• Weld assemblies according to manufacturer's directions and specifications and utilizing fixtures.
• Assist in the development and creation of new fixtures for products old and new.
• Complete work tasks as indicated by work orders and production schedules.
• Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Production Manager.
• Completion of Inventory and Production documentation.
• Work in a safe and clean manner by complying with procedures, rules, and company policies.
• Stage welded product in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Cross training (Both participate in learning and teaching already known tasks/positions)
• Other duties and/or tasks may be assigned on an as needed basis.

Requirements

• Requirements:
• Minimum High School Diploma/GED.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds as necessary.
• 1+ years of TIG Welding experience.
• Ability to handle various tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to prioritize, plan and execute.
• Ability to work independently.
• Manufacturing experience desired.

Job Type: Full-Time

Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Paid time off.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8-hour shifts - 7:30am – 4pm.
