Job Description Summary

Shift: 6:30AM-3PM Mon-Fri

The Cleaner will work under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor and perform a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services. Such duties shall be in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures of C&W Services.

Job Description

Typical Job Duties and Responsibilities – Production/Warehouse Cleaner:

• Work safely and be aware of surroundings
• Sanitize production rooms and controlled environments according to procedures
• Sanitize and clean laboratory areas (Chemistry, Bio/Micro), and sterility suites
• Sanitize and scrub machines, tables, counters, trash containers, component bins, and conveyors
• Mop and scrub floors, doors, walls, and ceilings
• Operate ride-on floor scrubber in warehouse and production facility aisles
• Clean warehouse walls, floors, racking, and doors
• Gather and remove trash from all production areas and laboratories
• Complete documentation and records of sanitation activities
• Support cleaning and janitorial services for non-production/office areas if required
• Clean processing equipment, overhead pipes, and conveyors in both dry and wet processing areas
• Maintain facility building, grounds, lighting, and parking lots
• Perform pre-op swabbing as needed
• Gather debris and trash such as cardboard, tape, shrink wrap, paper, and damaged products from distribution functions
• Document and verify activities supporting Food Safety & Quality Assurance Programs
• Work off aerial equipment up to forty feet above the ground
• Maintain plant cleanliness, including emptying scrap bins into the compactor and cleaning bins and the area around the compactor
• Conduct daily hygiene checks throughout the warehouse
• Report to the Sanitation Supervisor daily
• Interface with all employees, USDA officials, and QA/QC personnel
• Maintain a positive work environment and participate in team building within the sanitation staff
