Job summary

The Gund Company is seeking a full-time Utility Operator for the first shift (7:00am - 3:30pm, M-F) at our Cedar Lake, IN facility. The role focuses on operating and setting up production equipment, performing manual assembly, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

You will work in a non-climate-controlled environment requiring PPE, with a starting hourly wage of $22+ based on experience and a $1,000 sign-on bonus after 30 days of employment. Comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED with hands-on training or relevant experience.
• Strong basic math skills and ability to use measuring tools (tape, calipers, micrometers).
• Flexibility to work overtime and adjust to emergency production needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment such as saws, shapers, and sanders.
• Perform manual assembly and fabrication tasks with hand tools and machines.
• Inspect products to ensure quality and customer standards.
• Assist with troubleshooting and routine maintenance on production machinery.
