Job summary

DRT Aerospace in Sidney, OH seeks a Production Utility Operator to support machining, inspection, material handling and production operations in a clean, climate-controlled facility.

No aerospace or manufacturing experience is required; paid training is provided to develop skills for handling parts, tooling, and quality inspections across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts on CNC machines.
• Support machining and production operations.
• Deburr, clean, and prepare parts for processing.

• Deliver tools and materials to production workstations.
• Support shipping, receiving, packaging, and inventory activities.

What You'll Do

• Load and unload parts on CNC machines
• Support machining and production operations
• Deburr, clean, and prepare parts for processing
• Perform visual inspections and basic quality checks
• Assist with blue light 3D inspection equipment (training provided)
• Move materials, parts, and supplies throughout the facility
• Deliver tools and materials to production workstations
• Support shipping, receiving, packaging, and inventory activities
• Perform basic measurements using calipers and micrometers (training provided)
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Follow safety, quality, and production procedures
• Support multiple departments as business needs require

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Mechanical aptitude and an interest in hands‑on work
• Strong attention to detail
• Good attendance and a strong work ethic
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience
• Experience using hand tools
• Forklift experience or willingness to become certified
