Job summary

Pro Staff in Ayer, MA is seeking a Production Trainer to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. The role focuses on onboarding, training, and mentoring staff on equipment operation, safety, and quality procedures. The position runs on a 3rd shift from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM with occasional coverage for 2nd shift hires.

You will train operators, evaluate competency, and collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and safety teams to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; higher education optional.
• 3–5 years in manufacturing, operating multiple lines.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience leading, training, or mentoring others.
• Knowledge of OSHA, GMPs, HACCP, and food safety.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Train employees on equipment operation, setup, changeovers, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting.
• Provide hands-on instruction for packaging, labeling, inspection, palletizing, and line equipment.
• Evaluate competency and certify operators for independent work.
• Support onboarding, cross-training, and workforce development.
• Coach on safety, PPE, GMPs, HACCP, and OSHA standards.
• Observe processes and provide real-time feedback to improve safety and quality.
• Assist with training documentation, work instructions, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with production, maintenance, quality, and safety teams for excellence.

Job Duties
