Job summary

Advantage Technical in Ayer, MA is seeking a Production Trainer to lead onboarding, training, and mentoring in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will train operators on production equipment, support cross-training initiatives, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on instruction, documentation, and collaboration with production, maintenance, and quality teams to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; higher education preferred.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing experience on multiple production or packaging lines.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Previous leadership, training, coaching, or mentoring experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, GMPs, HACCP, and food safety practices.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Train employees on equipment operation, setup, changeovers, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting.
• Provide hands-on instructions for packaging, labeling, inspection, palletizing, and line equipment.
• Evaluate employee competency and certify operators for independent work.
• Support onboarding, cross-training, and workforce development programs.
• Coach employees on safety procedures, PPE, GMPs, HACCP, and OSHA standards.
• Observe processes and give real-time feedback to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Assist with training documentation, work instructions, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with production, maintenance, quality, and safety teams to support excellence.
