Job summary

IGT, a global leader in gaming, is seeking a Production Test Technician III in Reno, NV to join our manufacturing team. This role focuses on setup, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electronic, mechanical, and integrated system assemblies.

You will work with Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing to diagnose root causes, implement corrective actions, and improve product quality and line performance.

Qualifications

  • 3-8 years of experience in manufacturing test support, electronics testing, troubleshooting, or related production environments.
  • Experience with root cause analysis, test equipment maintenance, production support, and process improvement preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to support and train team members.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve manufacturing, test, and system-level issues involving electronic and mechanical assemblies.
  • Perform setup, calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair of production test equipment.
  • Test and validate assemblies, subassemblies, and final systems to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Develop and execute test methods, procedures, and specifications using engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve product quality and prevent recurring defects.
  • Perform rework and repairs on assemblies and systems based on test results.
  • Document test results, technical findings, and corrective action recommendations.
  • Support production operations by resolving complex technical issues and maintaining consistent line performance.
  • Assist with test equipment setup, technical guidance, and production support to ensure operational efficiency and product quality.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Escalate complex issues as needed to support operational objectives.

Responsibilities

The Production Test Technician III serves as a first responder for manufacturing and test-related issues identified throughout production operations. This role is responsible for the setup, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electronic, mechanical, and integrated system assemblies. Working closely with Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing teams, the technician diagnoses root causes, resolves technical issues, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, increase production efficiency, and prevent recurring defects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve manufacturing, test, and system-level issues involving electronic and mechanical assemblies.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline preferred.

Experience

  • 3-8 years of experience in manufacturing test support, electronics testing, troubleshooting, or related production environments.
  • Experience with root cause analysis, test equipment maintenance, production support, and process improvement preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to support and train team members.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Strong knowledge of electronic circuits, components, test equipment, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and specifications.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including skills, experience, education, and geographic location. These factors may result in variation in starting pay. The estimated starting compensation range for this role is $25/hr– $29/hr USD, based on a good‑faith assessment at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary. IGT complies with all applicable pay transparency and compensation laws and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is one component of IGT’s total rewards program. Depending on the role, employees may be eligible for bonus or commission opportunities.
