Overview

Rapiscan, an OSI Systems Company, is seeking a Production Test Tech based in Billerica, MA.

Rapiscan is a leading supplier of end-to-end security inspection solutions, utilizing multiple technologies and advanced threat identification algorithms based on X-ray and high-speed computed tomography imaging, ion mobility spectrometry, radiation detection, and optical inspection technologies. Responsibilities
  1. Perform setup, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
  2. Work with electrical, electro-mechanical, and mechanical test fixtures; assist in future design based on experience and learning.
  3. Execute test specifications, methods, and procedures from prints, drawings, and diagrams; contribute to future development.
  4. Test and troubleshoot components, assemblies, and final systems; perform rework as needed.
  5. Prepare technical reports with findings and recommendations; analyze data and provide insights.
  6. Utilize software tools to follow work instructions, investigate Bills of Material, review specifications, and ECOs.
  7. Assist in selecting and setting up specialized test equipment.
  8. Collaborate with New Product Introduction to deploy testing technologies for future products.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

  12. Report quality issues or defects for corrective action to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's Degree or technical diploma preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience testing and troubleshooting large military platforms or equivalent military training.
  • 2+ years experience with testing and troubleshooting large capital equipment at component and system levels.
  • Proficiency with oscilloscopes and digital multimeters.
  • Ability to install and configure computer hardware and software.
  • Strong skills with hand tools, industry nomenclature, and assembly.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to process improvement.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, ERP, and work instruction software.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 standard is a plus.
