At CAES our Test Technicians ensure that our customer builds are operating as required and recommending a path forward to address situations where adjustments may be needed. The Test Technician performs necessary troubleshooting, tuning and alignment of company products so they satisfy customer test requirements according to specifications.
Responsibilities may require the following: Shop Floor environment / shared workbench or workstation. Ability to perform repetitive motion (rotating wrists, keyboarding, using small/large tools). While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand or sit for long periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to walk, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and speak or listen. Capable of lifting and moving test equipment and units usually not greater than 50 lbs.
Minimum: High School Diploma, or GED; 2+ years of relevant experience; Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Preferred: Technical Certification; Associate's Degree in Electronics Technology, or related field of study; Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards; Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors; Ability to follow Acceptance Test Procedures specifications and other required documentation; Knowledge of the defense industry; Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot through process of elimination and critical thinking.
