OSI Optoelectronics is seeking a Production Test Technician. This individual will be responsible for conducting environmental and life tests on electronic components.

Responsibilities
  • Sets up, troubleshoots & maintains burn-in circuits, recommends and implements improvements.
  • Creates schedule for and performs HTRB, Burn in Temp Cycle, Constant Acceleration, DC, and AC test functions according to customer/military specifications.
  • Troubleshoots electronic circuits and equipment malfunctions such as Burn in Racks, Power supplies, Diagnostics boards, etc.
  • May also probe test wafers.
  • Uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct.
  • It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in electronics strongly desired.
  • One year of related work experience is needed.
  • Familiarity with practical electronic theory (E.g., Ohm’s Law, etc.) desired.
  • Must be able to use test equipment including oscilloscope, DVM, function generator, logic analyzer, and basic electronic tools.
  • Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to electrical shock.
  • Must know how to read circuit schematics and troubleshoot electronics equipment malfunction.
  • Familiar with computer software including Windows, Excel, and Word.
  • Must be able to schedule and organize in Word and Excel.
  • Must be detail-oriented, multi-tasked, and able to work independently, efficiently, and effectively.
