Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Lead Production Test Development Engineer for Starlink Customer Hardware in Bastrop, TX. You will head a team responsible for high-volume production test, develop fixtures, and write Python automation to ensure quality from development to full-scale production.

You will collaborate with electrical, silicon, software, mechanical and manufacturing teams, implement DFT guidelines, and drive improvements across production lines to support millions of customer devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years hardware development or electronics test engineering.
• 5+ years of object-oriented programming experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of test engineers developing fixtures, test cases and automated test solutions for high-volume products.
• Develop and maintain Design For Test guidelines and implement them on new products.
• Develop test strategies, conduct coverage analyses and lead strategy reviews with peer teams.
• Write automation software in Python to interact with units under test and production systems.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing and test lab teams to drive quality improvements and yield.
• Challenge assumptions and seek simple, robust solutions to complex problems.
