Job summary

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or STEM and enrolled through the internship/co-op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship/co-op.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

• Support the validation of new or modified test equipment for production use.
• Ensure operation of test equipment and that work instructions are accurate.
• Ensure test equipment and software meet test requirements for the product.
• Analyze predictive metrics to monitor test yields and failures.
• Perform preliminary investigation of problem resolution.
• Maintain changes to the test equipment technical data package.
• Assist in fault isolation, diagnosis and repair of product or test equipment.
• Lead root cause investigations and present findings.

Raytheon's internship program is designed to empower growth by exploring the dynamic nature of the defense industry throughout Raytheon Operations, Supply Chain & Quality (OSCQ). Throughout the summer, you will be able to expand your knowledge of OSCQ while also gaining unprecedented exposure to leadership along the way.

As an intern you will work along side Production Test Engineers (PTE) who are part of a manufacturing team who support the test process through one or more phases of the product life cycle, including product development, transition to production, sustained production and depot activities. PTEs validates and ensures compliance of the prime hardware to technical data package requirements and supporting test equipment. Interns will support the troubleshooting and problem solving of test failures while identifying opportunities in test processes to improve efficiency, yields, and capacity.

What You Will Do

• Support the validation of new or modified test equipment for production use
• Ensure the operation of test equipment and associated work instructions are accurate
• Ensure test equipment and software meet the test requirements specified for the product
• Monitor and improve the test process through analysis of predictive metrics of trends, failure modes, and test yields
• Perform preliminary investigation of problem resolution
• Maintain changes to the test equipment technical data package which includes drawings, test instructions, test position manuals, and system software
• Assist in non-routine fault isolation, diagnosis and repair of the product or test equipment
• Lead root cause and corrective action investigations and present findings

Qualifications You Must Have

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major, and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co‑op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co‑op session.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• *Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
