Job summary

Air Liquide is hiring a Production Technician in Freeport, TX. You will support plant operations, perform rounds and water sampling, and uphold safety, turnaround, and documentation standards.

You will work with instrumentation and rotating equipment, follow SOPs, and participate in lock-out/tag-out procedures as needed. This role demands teamwork, adaptability, and strong compliance with safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Technical Associates degree preferred
• 2+ years of technical training or operations experience
• Ability to work extended hours/shift work as business needs dictate
• Ability to work nights, weekends and possibly holidays
• Valid Driver’s License
• Knowledge/understanding of instrumentation, rotating equipment and piping systems
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants (Process Safety Management, EPA, FDA, state/local)
• Knowledge in locking out/isolation of equipment
• Ability to use computers—MS Office

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding of plant safety rules and policies
• Instill safety in others and model safe practices
• Work safely in all situations
• Identify maintenance needs and enter them into Maximo
• Perform work per SOPs, safety requirements and permits
• Lock-out/tag-out of equipment when required
• Acquire knowledge of all plant operations and equipment
• Exhibit instrumentation and mechanical aptitude
• Read blueprints, P&IDs, ISOs and electrical schematics
• Keep accurate records and documentation
• Monitor control boards and operator interfaces
• Perform operator rounds, water samples and loading
• Maintain high housekeeping and organizational standards
• Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Management
• All other duties based on business needs
