Qualitech is seeking a 2nd shift Production Technician for its food solutions division. This role involves performing manufacturing duties, machine operation, and production tasks to manufacture food and specialty products according to established procedures and safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Back End Processes:

  • Utilize scale appropriately and provide power for its operation
  • Calibrate scale using proper weights and techniques
  • Perform tare to ensure accurate measurements
  • Stack boxes orderly for palletizing
  • Read and understand product codes and lot numbers
  • Select proper screens for Swecos & Comils
  • Operate all equipment including belts, Swecos, Comils, and metal detectors
  • Document non-compliance issues and address them
  • Perform quality checks to ensure product standards are met
  • Maintain a food safety culture, including food defense, quality, and cGMPs
  • Be trained and certified in stand-up forklift operation

Safety & Sanitation:

  • Master all sanitization processes
  • Clean, break down, and reassemble equipment
  • Follow all sanitization procedures consistently
  • Adhere to food safety, sanitization, and safety policies
  • Maintain GMP practices for a clean and safe workspace

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of relevant manufacturing or production experience
  • Experience in a food environment is a plus
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification
  • Boiler’s license is desired but not required
