Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. is seeking a Production Technician 2 to join our manufacturing team. This role focuses on setting up, calibrating, testing and troubleshooting circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies to ensure top quality.

You will perform testing, potentially rework, and compile technical reports with recommendations. Familiarity with Oracle and Lean manufacturing is a plus, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining high

Qualifications

• Minimum 12–18 months’ experience troubleshooting to component level.
• 2–5 years assembly experience.
• Soldering skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment with focus on quality.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Motivated, able to work independently and in a team.
• Familiar with PC programs (spreadsheets, databases, Windows).
• Ability to read drawings and use measurement instruments.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing and troubleshooting of assemblies and/or final systems.
• May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing.
• Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
• May assist in the selection and setting up of specialized test equipment.
