Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and/or relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret general business documents.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to read simple instructions and memos.
• Ability to present information effectively in small groups.
• Knowledge of inventory and manufacturing software systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct activities of workers assembling parts into finished units.
• Develop plans and run orders with manager approval.
• Interface with departments to meet customer deadlines.
• Study production schedules and estimate work hours.
• Create detailed schedules to meet shipment dates and specs.
• Develop process plans including people, resources, and space.
• Plan material flow and address issues with production control.
• Adjust procedures to meet schedules and improve efficiency.
• Recommend methods to improve production and quality.
• Troubleshoot equipment and electrical/mechanical issues to root cause.
• Train personnel and promote cross-training.
• Ensure safety standards and company guidelines are followed.
• Represent Southern States to customers and staff professionally.
