Job summary

Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. in Irvine, CA, is hiring a Production Technician I for entry to mid-level candidates to perform warehousing duties in SAP, including goods receipt, put-away, cycle counts, staging and picking for production.

This is a second shift (1:30pm–10:00pm) based role with forklift operation as needed. Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma, experience in shipping/receiving, familiarity with Microsoft Excel, and a willingness to work in a perishable manufacturing

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Related shipping/receiving experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with perishable products preferred.
  • Must be able to be forklift-certified and have a clean driving record.
  • Microsoft and Excel familiarity, SAP experience is plus.
  • Goal-oriented team contributor.

Responsibilities

  • Performs daily routine tasks: receives, stores, picks, packs, ships and/or distributes materials while performing real-time transactions in SAP ERP system.
  • Performs cycle counts and other inventory transactions.
  • Verifies goods received against documentation.
  • Performs initial quality check on incoming product.
  • Maintains shipping and receiving materials by checking stock to determine inventory levels.
  • Utilizes motorized and non-motorized equipment to move materials, parts, supplies and equipment as instructed. May operate a forklift.
  • Loads and unloads trucks and other distribution channel storage and transportation containers.

Job description

The Production Technician I is for an entry level to experienced Warehouse Operator who will be responsible for performing warehousing duties in the SAP system including goods receipt, material put away, component inspection, cycle counting, staging and picking of materials for production. Assist in other departments as needed.

This position is for a second-shift operator (Hours: 1:30pm to 10:00pm).

Location:

This position must be based in Irvine, Californiaand requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.

Compensation:

The estimated hourly rate for this position is $21.20 to $29.13 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
