Job summary

PTA Plastics in New Kensington, PA, seeks a Production Helper to assist line operators and prepare finished cored wire for shipment. You may work in shipping, receiving, or fabrication areas, supporting production and safety efforts.

Responsibilities include following SOPs for labeling and powder handling, operating equipment (forklift, overhead crane, welder, de-coiler, bander), weighing/packing finished goods, and maintaining tool and logbook cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent training/experience.
• Forklift, overhead crane, and welding experience is a plus.
• Experience in production/manufacturing is beneficial.
• Punctual and dependable with potential overtime.
• Willingness to work day and/or night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist line operators and prepare finished product for shipment.
• Follow SOPs for labeling and identifying material per DOT and customer specs.
• Safely operate equipment including forklift, overhead crane, welder, bander, de-coiler, and other plant tools.
• Weigh, identify, package and store finished materials for shipment.
• Maintain logs and cleanliness of tools and production area.
• Follow production schedule to prepare the level winder mandrel with appropriate cage or cut-out.
• Attend safety meetings and assist in all areas of Production as needed.
