Compass Systems, Inc. is seeking motivated high school students to participate in our Production Technician Co-Op Program.

This hands-on opportunity teaches manufacturing, assembly, electronics, and production operations while working alongside experienced technicians. You will receive on-the-job training using tools, equipment, and documentation in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with engineering and production teams to support technical projects and develop practical skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in high school and eligible to participate in a school co-op program.
• Interested in manufacturing, engineering, electronics, skilled trades, or technology.
• Dependable and willing to learn.
• Comfortable working with their hands and learning how to use tools.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Detail-oriented and committed to producing quality work.
• Able to work cooperatively with others in a team environment.
• Safety-conscious and willing to follow workplace safety requirements.
• Able to obtain and maintain Pennsylvania working papers or other employment documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly of electronic and mechanical components according to technical drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Operate production equipment and tools used in manufacturing processes.
• Conduct testing, inspection, and troubleshooting of assemblies and systems.
• Support prototype builds and engineering development projects.
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Collaborate with engineering and production staff to resolve technical issues and improve processes.
