CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking Production Technician 2nd Shift candidates in the Omaha, NE area. |
Responsibilities: Preparation for manufacture – Obtain the manufacturing instruction from Manufacturing management. Make sure mixing area is clear of all materials not required for the current batch. Assure that mixer is properly cleaned and prepared for each batch. Staging and confirmation of the components – Confirm the identity, lot numbers and quantities of material against the batch sheet for the current batch. Confirm that material to be used in batch is “Released”. Manufacture of the batch – Follow exactly the manufacturing instructions for the current batch. Weighs and dumps specified amounts of dry ingredients into mixer as indicated on batch ticket. Starts mixer to mix ingredients for specified time. Packaging – Operate and maintain adjustments on a form/fill/seal packaging machine. Perform in-process packaging checks. Pack and palletize finished product. Perform all label control accountability processes including final recaps. Completion of the Batch – Clear all waste from the area and sweep .All materials not used in the batch must be properly labeled and returned to the warehouse. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on the production equipment. Regularly inspect and evaluate products for quality and defects. Comply with federal, state, local, FDA, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) regulations, guidelines, and best practices. Ensure compliance to ensure a safe work environment. Performs other duties as assigned. |
Desired Background/Skills: High school diploma Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the manufacturing suite. Visual acuity to inspect products and machinery. Ability to occasionally climb stairs. 1-3 years manufacturing experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical production facility. 3. Forklift certification preferred, but not required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to read and understand instructions and materials in English. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Ability to learn the record keeping methods and practices used in an FDA regulated industry. Know and comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) associated with production. |
