Job summary

ETS Staffing is seeking a Production Technician for an in-person role in Albany, NY. The position features first shift, 8 hours, Monday–Friday, full-time, with pay between $18 and $19.75 per hour depending on experience.

You will perform electro-mechanical hand assembly, read and follow SOPs, operate hand and power tools, and handle materials with jacks. The role requires basic troubleshooting, documentation, and adherence to OSHA and EH&S standards. Health insurance and weekly pay are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing assembly
• Electro-mechanical assembly experience preferred
• Ability to read SOPs and assembly instructions
• Comfort with manual handling and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude

Responsibilities

Your day-to-day as a Production Technician:

• Perform electro-mechanical hand assembly of a variety of sub-systems and components
• Read, interpret and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assembly instructions
• Operate of manual hand tools and power tools in assembly and validation work
• Operate material handling equipment, including manual and electric power jacks
• Perform basic troubleshooting and problem solving to diagnose system, sub-system, and ancillary component issues
• Complete manufacturing documentation
• Follow all environmental health and safety regulations as well as all OSHA standards

Your skills and experience:

• Vocational education/training is preferred, but not required
• Minimum 1 year of experience within a manufacturing assembly position; electro-mechanical assembly experience preferred
• Experience selecting appropriate tools and ability to determine best strategy for operations
• High degree of manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
• Comfortable operating hand/power tools safely and efficiently
• Ability to operate a computer and perform computer transactions accurately
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs andstand for long periods of time
