Principal Accountability

Reporting to the Manager and Assistant Manager of Production/Labeling, the Production Technician is responsible for the separation of whole blood into blood and blood components, including proper operation of equipment and labeling of blood components for storage or shipment. Responsibilities must comply with all applicable standards, procedures, regulations, and departmental goals, including those set by FDA, AABB, EU, and OSHA.

Regular full-time attendance during normal working hours is required.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED

Experience

• Preferred: Production or manufacturing experience

Skills and Knowledge

• Complete training for essential functions within 90 days, depending on shift
• Organized with accurate documentation skills, both electronically and manually
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with or without supervision
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and time expectations
