Job summary

The Linde plc team is seeking an experienced maintenance professional to start up, operate, and maintain air separation plants and all associated systems. You will troubleshoot shutdowns, coordinate planned maintenance, and ensure continuous, safe product supply while meeting environmental and customer requirements.

You will read schematics and diagrams, calibrate analyzers, perform lock-out/tag-out, and oversee contractors as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Mechanical maintenance experience required.
  • 3+ years of production operations experience preferred in relevant industrial fields.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, lift up to 50 pounds.
  • On-call rotation every fourth week; overtime/turnaround support may be required.
  • Company vehicle provided for work-related travel.

Responsibilities

  • Startup, operate, and maintain air separation plants and all tanks, controls, and truck fill systems.
  • Troubleshoot plant shutdowns and perform corrective maintenance to allow restarts.
  • Coordinate scheduling of planned maintenance and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Operate units to continuously supply products safely and economically, meeting environment and customer requirements.
  • Monitor process performance and adjust to address deviations.
  • Read and interpret P&IDs, Electrical Schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Calibrate analyzers and field instrumentation; troubleshoot control systems.
  • Perform lock-out tag-out and oversee contractors as necessary.
  • Safely troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rotating equipment (compressors, pumps, fans, valves).
  • Prepare and execute projects to improve facility availability and reliability.
  • Manage maintenance deadlines and PM intervals.

Job description

  • You will startup, operate, and maintain the air separation plants and all associated tanks, controls, and truck fill systems
  • Troubleshoot plant shutdowns and perform corrective maintenance to allow plant restarts
  • Coordinatescheduling of planned maintenance and perform preventative maintenance onplant components
  • Operateunits to continuously supply productsat theappropriatequantities and qualities safely and economically,complying with all environmental regulations and daily customerrequirements
  • Further, you will monitorprocess performance and makes appropriate adjustments to remedy deviationsand align to the specified norm
  • Readand interpret P&ID's, Electrical Schematics, One Line Diagrams,Equipment Manuals and company procedures
  • Performcalibration of analyzers, field instrumentation, and have the ability totroubleshoot control system problems
  • And you will performlock-out tag-out, correctly and safely permit maintenance work, andoversee contractors as necessary
  • Safelytroubleshoot, repair, and maintain all rotating equipment and associatedmechanical systems including compressors, pumps, fans, and valves
  • Prepareand execute projects to improve facility availability and reliability
  • You will managemaintenance deadlines and PM intervals
  • And you will communicatewith cross-functional groups and other business departments
  • Supportmaintenance of 7 satellite pipeline meter stations and occasionally assistteam with DigTix locates to ensure Linde pipeline is protected duringoutside utility construction.

What makes you great

  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Mechanical maintenance experience required
  • Three (3) or more years of production operations experience preferred in areas such as air separation or process operations, instrumentation and controls, industrial maintenance, compressors, mechanical or electrical systems, HVAC, or related military technical disciplines
  • You have a strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and testing/measuring equipment
  • You have working knowledge of computers and typical computer programs (i.e. Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders and stairs, lift up to 50 pounds, and work at elevated heights
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation every fourth week. Some overtime, holiday, and after-hours work will be required, this position may also require providing turnaround support within the region
  • A company vehicle will be provided for work-related travel
