Job description



Staffmark is currently seeking a Production Technician in Westhampton, NJ. We are dedicated to helping you achieve

Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour



Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM



As a Production Technician, you will assemble, wire, fit, and mount sub-assemblies and components for electrical control equipment. You'll assist with test preparation and final inspections, ensuring electrical and mechanical integrity using established procedures. Your work will contribute to meeting quality and production standards.



Essential Duties:



  • Assemble panelboards and switchboards per customer specs, using hand and power tools.

  • Inspect and test products to meet quality standards.

  • Use wire strippers and pliers for wiring and assembly.

  • Track job progress and address any issues, including shortages or delays.

  • Manage materials, including receiving and prepping for shipment.

  • Contribute ideas for improving quality, processes, and safety.

  • Maintain tools and work area according to 5S standards.

  • Cross-train and adapt to changing production needs.

  • Perform other assigned tasks.



Qualifications:



  • 1+ year of assembly-related experience (automotive repair, construction, carpentry, etc. are acceptable).

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Experience with CNC bus fabrication or press brakes is a plus.

  • Familiarity with wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical systems.

  • Skilled in using measuring tools, torque specifications, and manual/electric tools.

  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and work overtime as needed.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Ability to follow manufacturing instructions.

  • Commitment to health and safety practices and active participation in training.
